Hoyt Spyder 30

A bow crafted for one purpose. As diehard, passionate bowhunters, our engineers know that science and engineering principles are only a piece to the puzzle when it comes to engineering and designing high-performance bows. Through their experience from hours upon hours in treestands and countless stalks through tight, rugged terrain, they’ve developed and crafted the all-new, 2013 Spyder to adapt to its surroundings and counter the advantages of its prey like no other bow. With their legendary sense of hearing, animals like whitetails have superior reaction time. So, the Engineering Team made Spyder even more deadly silent with our revolutionary, patent pending AirShox Technology. To be successful against an animal like a whitetail requires you to strike from very tight spaces. So, the team engineered and designed the Spyder to be exceptionally compact and lightweight for stealthy maneuverability, yet sacrificed nothing in terms of total accuracy and feel. In fact, Spyder 30 is the most compact bow Hoyt has ever developed and yet it still maintains Hoyt’s world-renowned accuracy. Like the whitetail, the Spyder is smokin’ fast, equipped with RKT Cam & ½ to level the playing field.

Hoyt Spyder 30As the name suggests the bow features a 30 inch axle-to-axle-measurement making it ideal for just about all close quarters hunting conditions. Whether you’re in the treestand or the blind the bow is going to be quickly ready for action without bumping or knocking it around.

The bow uses the RKT Cam and ½ eccentric system which was first introduced in 2012 as well as the XTS Pro ARC split limbs. Together they form a powerful combination to give the bow an advertised IBO rating of 330 fps.

This bow was released in 2013 as the flagship bow of the Hoyt range and so it has been built with a full range of features such as the new Air Shox limb dampening system. The dampeners sit on the back of the X-Lite Pro Lock limb pockets. Also included to reduce vibration and string oscillation is Hoyt’s Stealth Shot string suppressors.

From previous year’s models the bow is also designed with the Silent Shelf and Perfect Balance stabilization systems to provide more features that will be appreciated by archers of all types.

The draw cycle of the bow builds quickly at the front end of the cycle but it does so smoothly. Stiffness backs off somewhat while maintaining the smooth feel through the holding phase before it transitions gradually to full let-off. The steady let-off means that let-down to brace can be easily controlled.
